This Privacy Policy explains how Rock My Resume LLC, doing business as Rock My Websites ("we", "us" or "our"), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit rockmywebsites.com, request a free preview, book a call, receive an email from us or become a client (together, the "Services").
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and business details, such as your name, business name, email address, phone number and current website, when you request a preview, book a call or email us
- Materials you send to build your website, such as your logo, photos and business information
- The content of your messages and any feedback you send
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical information our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) processes to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested
- Aggregate visit statistics from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across other websites
Information from other sources
- Payment and subscription details from Stripe, such as your billing name, email, plan and payment status. Stripe processes your card; we never receive or store your full card number.
- Appointment details from Google Calendar when you book a call
- Publicly available business information, such as a business's website, Google Business Profile, published contact details and photos, which we use to prepare free previews and to contact businesses about our services
2. How we use information
- To create free previews, respond to you and schedule calls
- To build, host, update and support your website and deliver your plan's features
- To process payments, manage subscriptions and send receipts, billing notices and service updates
- To send marketing emails about our services to businesses, as described in Section 4
- To keep our Services secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and understand how our website is used
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service
3. How we share information
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers that process it on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services to us: Stripe (payments and billing), Google Workspace (email and calendar booking), Cloudflare (hosting, security and analytics) and Monday.com (organizing projects and requests)
- Platforms you ask us to work with, such as Google Business Profile or social media accounts, when you give us access
- Legal and safety reasons: when required by law or legal process, or to protect our rights, our clients or others
- Business transfers: as part of a merger, sale or reorganization of our business, subject to this policy
- With your consent or at your direction
4. Marketing emails
We may email businesses about our services using business contact information that is publicly available or that you provided to us. Every marketing email identifies us, includes our postal address and includes a simple way to opt out. To opt out, use the unsubscribe link or reply "unsubscribe," and we'll stop within 10 business days. We'll still send transactional messages, such as receipts and service notices, to clients.
5. Cookies and third-party pages
Our website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. When you check out, manage billing or book a call, you use pages run by Stripe or Google, which may use their own cookies under their own privacy policies. We don't currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals because our website doesn't track you across sites.
6. How long we keep information
- Clients: for as long as you're a client, and afterwards for as long as needed to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations (generally up to 7 years for billing records)
- Website backups: up to 30 days after your service ends, unless you buy out your website files
- Preview requests and prospects: until no longer needed for the purpose we collected them, generally no more than 24 months after our last contact, or sooner if you ask us to delete them
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you, to give you a copy, to correct it or to delete it. You can also opt out of marketing emails at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, and we'll honor them as required. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights. To make a request, email info@rockmywebsites.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we'll respond within the time required by law (generally within 45 days).
8. Your website visitors
If we host a website for your business, information your visitors submit through it (for example through a contact form) belongs to your business. We process it only on your behalf, to run your website and deliver submissions to you. Your business is responsible for its own privacy practices toward its customers.
9. Security
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and two-step login on our business accounts, and we limit access to personal information to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a security breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you as required by law.
10. Children's privacy
Our Services are for businesses and aren't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Where information is stored
We're based in the United States, and our Services are intended for US businesses. Your information is processed and stored in the United States by us and our service providers.
12. Links to other websites
Our website may link to other websites, such as example sites or third-party tools. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date, and for material changes we'll notify clients by email.
